Someone recently introduced me to this yoga studio in the heart of the East Village, and it's so good I want to share it with all of you. Yoga, in it's long existence of a healing art, has recently re-emerged trendy in the spa culture of NYC. Known to relax and center, the physical practice of yoga is a full body workout that takes core strength and balance. What makes Yoga to the People reign so supreme in the NYC vast galaxy of yoga studios is it's welcoming and all-inclusive philosophy. I dare you to visit their website and see if their home page does not make you swoon with understanding. The benefits of yoga, strengthening our bodies, calming our minds and distressing is so important, and Yoga to the People has found a way to focus on the practice, while finding a space for everyone, beginner or guru.
The particular type of yoga you will find there is called Power Vinasaya Flow and is an amazing workout that will probably have you feeling it the next morning. Gaining flexibility and deeper awareness of your body and breath, are just two of the many benefits of yoga. You will be surprised by the strength and focus yoga takes, and how much you will sweat!
